Microsoft announced Halo 3: Recon, a new Halo installment set to be released early 2009.
"This new chapter in the Halo saga lets you experience events leading up to the epic story told in Halo 3 through the eyes of a new hero in the Halo universe," says the online Microsoft announcement.
Gameplay will include expanded elements of stealth and new enemy classes. The new one player campaign will be supplemented by a number of new multiplayer maps and expanded Forge options.
