Sir Paul McCartney launched an anti-McDonalds tirade after a Liverpool outlet used pictures of the Beatles as decoration.
“It’s ridiculous and insulting to use images to peddle hamburgers," Sir Paul's spokesman Geoff Baker said. "Fans should boycott McDonald’s — and not just in Liverpool.”
Sir Paul has been living on greens since 1975, when his first wife Linda Louise introduced him to the way of life.
"He became a vegetarian after watching lambs play in a field outside his home and surely would not want anyone to use his likeness to help promote meat,” said a People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) spokesperson. “We hope anyone who sees his picture on the wall will be reminded that he's a vegetarian and skip the Big Mac for a veggie burger."
